INGER MOLLER

Hello, my name is Inger
Moller. I live near Copenhagen, Denmark, in a town of about
80,000 people. I have always liked drawing various things --
birds, animals, and paper dolls. I made the bear illustrations
elsewhere on this web site.
When I was a child in the
early 1950's, I drew my own paper dolls. I also collected paper
dolls from magazines and oatmeal packages. Today these same
vintage paper dolls from magazines and packages are in great demand
among collectors.
I stopped drawing paper dolls when I
was older, but in the 1980's I again drew some paperdolls for my
niece. Then in 2000, when my sister and I were clearing
out the attic in our mother's house, we found some of our
childhood paper dolls, which inspired me to start drawing and
collecting paper dolls again. I became friends other paper
doll collectors, and joined groups called "Round Robins", in
which we trade paper dolls with each other that we have created
ourselves, based on various themes like bears, fairy tales,
princesses, trolls, etc. I also discovered eBay, where I
have found many pretty paper dolls. I also find paper
dolls in flea markets. I have found that there are many
fine paper doll artists in the USA.
In addition to paper dolls, I collect
artist bears, which is how I
met Sue Yale. I collect Sue's bears and we have also
become good friends!
